About the Role

The purpose of this position is to provide academic advice and skills training to Residential College students and to assist the Dean of Residential College, in the smooth running of the College tutorial program and associated academic activities.

This position will be responsible for developing and delivering study plans and workshops for students, and information sessions and professional development training for Academic Tutors.

In addition, you will be responsible for producing tutorial timetable, providing support with the administration of co-curricular programs and recruitment of Academic Tutors, as well as gathering data and metrics.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have a Masters or a PhD and demonstrated experience in providing academic advice, study planning and study skills support. Knowledge or familiarity with University of Melbourne administrative and academic processes or familiarity with University College environment is desirable.

The successful candidate will have advanced computer and MS Office skills, and experience with timetabling software or the ability and eagerness to learn new systems. Advanced Excel and statistical skills are highly desirable. You will also need to possess strong organisation and time management skills coupled with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a culturally diverse education community or similar environment. You will be self-motivated with a keen interest to contribute to the educational vision and values of the College.

Contract Type: This is a full-time, fixed-term position commencing as soon as possible and until 17 December 2021, with a possibility of extension.

Salary Range: Band 3 FTE $75,253 plus 10% Superannuation and 17.5% Leave Loading
