The Manager, Graduate Admissions, Records, and Registration assists the Director in the planning and the day-to-day management of the Graduate Admissions, Records, and Registration section of the Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows. The incumbent manages the evaluation and processing of approximately 1,600 annual admissions from 6,000 graduate applications, including the review, evaluation and assessment of international and domestic credentials and post-secondary institutions. The Manager acts as a resource for graduate secretaries who have questions on procedures, policies, and systems processes; works with unit staff on the resolution of a variety of records and registration issues; and assists with the organization of convocation ceremonies. The incumbent investigates and resolves discrepancies in tuition and fees assessments, in collaboration with the Finance Manager and manages the fast-track admissions work flow. The Manager oversees the graduate applicant process, procedures, and activities within the SIMS and OASIS online applicant evaluation systems; assists unit staff with system configuration and problem solving; and trains new graduate program staff in all academic units, on current graduate policies and SIMS/OASIS procedures related to graduate admissions, records, and registration processing activities.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree and three years of related experience in enterprise level student information systems and graduate admissions/records management, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Excellent planning, supervisory, team management, organizational, analytical reasoning, problem solving, and conflict management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills.

Excellent knowledge of Student Information Management Systems.

Ability to prepare training documentation and conduct training sessions on student information systems.

Ability to evaluate and adjust priorities to meet deadlines.

Proficient in the use of database, word processing and spreadsheet software at an advanced level.
