Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Teacher Education Department. Responsibilities will include teaching, student mentoring, scholarly productivity, course review and development, and collaboration with local-school partners. The position will be located at the main University campus in Virginia Beach, VA.

Qualifications: Applicants must have completed a doctorate in education from an accredited program, have teaching and leadership experience in PreK-12 education, and hold a valid Virginia license in teaching or administration and supervision. Area of specialty is open, but priority will be given if skilled in several areas. Specialty area examples include: teaching math, science, or reading in elementary education; teaching methods for secondary education; curriculum, instruction and assessment; educational technology; early childhood education; clinical supervision of teacher candidates. College-level teaching and experience working in Virginia’s public school divisions are preferred.
Expectations include: 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3) the ability to teach undergraduate level courses; 4) experience with online instructional technology; and 5) a willingness to enthusiastically embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements.
