The Exciting Role

A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Business to join their Business Studies Team on a full time, permanent basis starting in August 2022. The ideal candidate will have experience of BTEC Business and / or A Level Business.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, focused on student progress and supporting students into high quality educational and work-based destinations.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson & Colne College but may be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:
Teach BTEC and/or A Level Business delivering effective learning for students

Be up to date, plan and prepare and high-quality as required by your Line Manager to the appropriate number of hours (810 hrs per annum)

Develop and share resources for the course/subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources

To act as a personal tutor for a group across their programme as a whole

Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities

Maintain comprehensive, up to date, student/course/subject records and provide information, as requested

What We Are Looking For:
A degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification

A recognised qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment

A higher degree or advanced qualification (desirable)

Successful experience in a relevant subject area

Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver the curriculum successfully

Demonstrate a student-centred approach t and learning
