EF Simulation System Integrator and Maintainer (d/m/f)

Job Description:
EF Simulation System Integrator for the Eurofighter Pilot Synthetic Training System (EF PSTS)

PSTS is one of the Major Support Items within the Eurofighter programme and provides the future simulators for Eurofighter pilot training.

The Simulation System Integrator is a member of the TASTP4 PICS (Production Installation Commissioning and Setting to Work) Team, which is part of the Operational Support Department for Combat Training.

Major Role & Responsibilities

Support to setup a test environment for the overall EF Weapon System Simulation (WSS)

Support the installation and upgrades of PSTS related training devices (e.g. Pre-integration devices and Mini Devices)

Support installation and upgrades of PSTS related training devices on customer sites (e.g. Full Mission Simulators in GE, SP and AUT MOBs)

Prepare and perform hardware and software upgrades on all PSTS devices on customer sites

Support of test and acceptance activities on PSTS system level at Installation Facility in Manching (Type Acceptance) and on customer sites (Individual Acceptance)

Support the system integration activities related to the WSS subsystems

Report to the PICS team leader

We are looking for candidates with the following Qualification/Education and Practical Experience:

Qualified IT-Specialist (Fachinformatiker) for System Integration or similar

Experience in modern simulation technology in military environments

First work experience in system integration

Experience with Eurofighter PSTS simulator would be favourable

Experience in programming languages, e.g. C, C++, ADA

Experience with shell scripting (Windows and Linux Operating Systems)

Experience with MySQL-DB

Experience in complex multi computer platforms would be favourable

Fluent in German and English, reading and writing
