General Notes
Provide high level Human Resources assignments and processing. Manage all HR processes for student academic hiring and employment. Work with front office reception staff to organize, improve and streamline office support needs. Serve as a back-up to other staff for Workday, Define processing as needed.
Purpose
Provide high level Human Resources assignments and processing. Manage all HR processes for student academic hiring and employment.
Responsibilities
Human Resources: Each semester responsible for business processes associated to hire. change job, rescind, and end student assignments (Teaching Assistant (outside department hires, Undergraduate Course Assistant (UGCA), Undergraduate Graders, and work studies in Workday. Assist students with human resource and payroll related issues including visa renewal, payroll, tuition payments, I-9s, Social Security, background checks and other duties as applicable
Internal Communications: Modernize, streamline, and implement improvements to enhance processes, Outreach, and create efficiencies. Includes developing procedural documentation, updating orientation and application materials, website updates, and organizing data/files to ensure compliance with records retention and program policies and requirements
Visitor Logistics: Point of contact for visitors, including securing travel and accommodations, expense reimbursements, visiting VISA requirements
Events Planning: Support internal conference events planning, including securing lodging, event rooms on campus, event registration, and other event needs as identified by Faculty or Administrative Staff
Other: As needed, serve as the back-up to Undergraduate and Graduate. Coordinators. At the direction of Assistant Director, Assist in department assignments, tasks, or duties outside of the regular job duties
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Workday, Define; strong excel skills, excellent customer service skills
Salary Range
$55,000 + depending on qualifications

M-F, 8am – 5pm, flexible, with remote work capabilities

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
