Painter Job in Paris (75) at U.S. Embassy & Consulates in France
The incumbent supervises three LE staff painters. She/he directs all aspects of painting, plastering, paper hanging and window-glass replacement. The incumbent manages the process for water damages in residences from the point of contact to completion of the issue.

Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years’ experience in the painting trade required. Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a working painting supervisor required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: A good knowledge of paint qualities, categories and procedures as in the Normes Françaises is required. A good knowledge of special painting techniques for high value items and for decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, etc. is required.
At least a Certificate (CAP) in Painting is required.
LANGUAGE (THESE WILL BE TESTED): English Level II (Limited Knowledge) is required. French Level IV (Fluent) is required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to accurately assess the man-hours required for painting, wall preparation and wall repair is required. Ability to oversee contract painters for quality control and knowledge to recommend corrective action to maintain quality level is required. Ability to prioritize workloads and schedule employees so as to maximize productivity is required. Must be able to work independently of close supervision and organize daily work: per instructions. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Must have a valid, current driver’s license for the class of vehicle assigned (permis B) or authorized to drive. Must have had driver’s license for a minimum for 5 years.
