Mission and Job description:
The Product Manager mission is to define, develop and commercialize new products in line with market requirements and interfaces with Sales, Application Specialists, Service, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to manage the entire Product Life Cycle from product definition to launch and commercialization:
Assess WW market dynamics and customers’ requirements to define marketing operating plan.
Define new product needs (URS) in line with market requirements, establish new product forecasts, lead development projects together with R&D project leaders, generate product introduction package, train the application specialists and execute the launch of new products
Continuously improve product quality, features & benefits, literature, sales tools and positioning tools. Ensure product quality and availability via accurate sales forecasts
Monitor and report on competitors’ products and tactics, lead the side by side comparison with our products and prepare tools & plans for sales organisation to effectively position our products Vs competition.
Support and develop the sales organization for the positioning of existing products and introduction of new products through beta sites testing, effective use of sales tools, customer seminars, demonstration and marcomm and sales promotion plans
Communicate our key messages to the market via regular customer visits, customer seminars and lectures at trade shows. Communicate our marketing strategy and align our sales organisation with marketing objectives
Proactively participate to complex customer projects with sales and application specialists to ensure successful positioning, definition and implementation of FMT solutions.
Skills and experiences:
Technical education in process analytical technology, preferably with strong knowledge in Biotech processes (Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotech Engineer…)
Potential talent for Marketing activities
Excellent team work skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in English, preferably also German as a second language
The position requires up to 30%-50% domestic and international travels
