Program Coordinator (Contractual) Job in Baltimore, MD at Morgan State University – 4.0

Brief Summary of Job Duties

Work with Admissions and CASA staff and advisors to develop and implement marketing and recruitment strategies for CASA Academy and First Year Experience program.

Assist with the coordination of the CASA Academy application process to achieve a goal of 300 participants.

Create a database of CASA Academy participants, i.e. student profile, SAT/ACT scores, GPA, intended majors, etc.

In collaboration with Institutional Research, the Coordinator will track student enrollment and retention statistics, gather data and write reports regarding program (CASA Academy and First-Year students)

Create and implement programs and resources for CASA Academy and First-Year CASA students (Speakers, seminars, activities, reserve spaces, conduct program evaluations)

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Strength Leaders for CASA Academy

Develop the CASA Scholars Program: create cohorts based on schools, advise scholars, develop activities and measurable goals.

Coordinate the activities of the CASA First-Year Experience Program: collaborate with CASA staff and other office on campus

Develop newsletter/social media posts for first-year students

Collaborate with CASA Advisors and other staff to support Strength awareness activities

Complete contracts and certification for full-time faculty, part-time faculty, tutors, and CASA staff

Other duties assigned

Requested Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling or related field from an accredited College or University. At least three (3) years’ of experience in Educational Programming or related functions within education is required.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have: Proficiency in MS Office including Excel; good attention to detail; problem solving skills; effective communication skills, particularly with diverse populations; the ability to build good rapport with variety of constituents, including parents; ability to work independently and collaboratively with other in teams; flexibility, patience, creativity, motivation and commitment to student success.

Other Preferences for Consideration

Preferences

A Master’s degree in education, counseling or related field preferred.

Proficiency in BANNER and web designing is also preferred.
