About the role

Edwin Education is currently recruiting on behalf of our sister company ABC Teachers for a SEND Teacher in Shrewsbury, United Kingdom to join a well-established team and we welcomes Australian and New Zealand trained teachers to apply.

  • Deliver the curriculum in a creative and engaging way to students who have various educational needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to reach their full potential.
  • Working successfully alongside a wider staff team, and alongside teaching assistants in the classroom setting.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teacher you will:

  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to suit pupils with all abilities, whilst building a strong rapport with students.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a larger team.
  • Experience working with an SEN secondary or primary classroom or nursery setting (within the last 5 years) that we can obtain references for
  • Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration
  • Graduate Teachers and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration
