The Foundation is seeking a senior-level professional to contribute to strategy development in the Employment, Education and Training (EET) portfolio, which focuses on building scalable practice models, field-building strategies and policy and system solutions that promote labor market opportunities and outcomes – particularly for youth and young adults of color. As a senior associate, you will:

work with the director to design, implement and manage key strategies and investments in the portfolio;

lead research, policy development and field-building work related to one or more core aspects of the portfolio, such as employer engagement and practices, high school reconnection and completion, post-secondary education, workforce development systems and policies, and youth engagement and development; and

advance strategic goals and outcomes aimed at promoting equitable education and employment opportunities for young people of color through key initiatives, such as Generation Work™ and Learn and Earn to Achieve Potential (LEAP)™.

Qualified candidates will have the following:
Master’s degree (MBA, MMP, MPA, MPH, MSW or JD) in economic development, community development, planning, business, education, policy or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Seven to 10 years of experience working directly with community-based organizations, intermediaries, government and/or policy-advocacy organizations implementing employment, education and/or other strategies aimed at increasing economic opportunity and closing racial and ethnic equity gaps in the labor market for youth, families and communities.

Knowledge of strategies and promising practices for improving labor market outcomes for youth and young adults – particularly young people of color from families and communities that are struggling financially.

Knowledge of the changing labor market, the structure or entry-level employment opportunities and its impact on youth and young adult workers.
