Job description

The Student Support and Success Department is looking for a Student Life Adviser to join their busy team. The focus of the post will be to provide advice, guidance and support for students on a wide range of issues relating to students and their studies, including personal and financial issues. The post holder will assist with the administration of University hardship funds.

You will be a graduate, have the ability and experience to deal with a wide range of people and have an understanding of student issues. You should have excellent communication and numeracy skills, be enthusiastic, calm and efficient. Excellent team working skills, a flexible approach and experience of frontline work are essential.

Normal hours of work will be 37 per week (5 days per week) during University term-time for 36 weeks per year and 29.6 per week (4 days per week) for 16 weeks of the year. There may be some requirement to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
