OVERVIEW The Schulze School of Entrepreneurship, which is part of the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas, invites applications for a Visiting faculty position in Entrepreneurship, at the Assistant or Associate level, beginning in the fall of 2021. A Ph.

D. or DBA in Entrepreneurship, Management or other relevant business discipline (U.S. or foreign equivalent) is required for this position. This is a non-tenure-track, one year, Visiting Faculty position with an expected start of August 1, 2021. This position requires a strong commitment to, and evidence of, excellence in teaching. The visiting professor will teach the equivalent of three full-semester courses per semester with no more than two preparations for the 2021-22 academic year.

(A full semester course can be either one 4-credit course taught over 14 weeks, or two 2-credit courses taught end-to-end over 14 weeks.) In addition to preparing for and holding classes [face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online], teaching involves maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours.

Candidates who can demonstrate expertise or experience with diverse pedagogical techniques are particularly encouraged to apply. In addition, this individual will provide service to the department, college, and university by participating in key department and university events.

In addition to an undergraduate major and minor, the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship provides an experiential introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation as part of the required, core curriculum in every academic program within the College of Business.
